The internet seems to be all about hating this presentation, but I was served this in a swanky bar and I loved it!
My main focus these days is trying to get better at presentation. I especially loved David Rickett’s course. I don’t have too many plates and glasses, so this could be better, but beggars can’t be choosers…

I’m so out of touch, I’ve never seen that presentation 😅 That looks like a platter with a kick, hope you enjoyed it!

Hi Sarah
This image presents a creative approach to plating, using an inverted wine glass as a container for the salad ingredients. This type of presentation is interesting because it plays with visual expectations and adds a touch of originality to the dish. However, it might be a bit inconvenient for the diner when it comes to consuming the dish, as they would have to lift the glass to access the ingredients.
On the other hand, the rest of the elements on the plate, such as the cheese cubes with red onion and spices, are well presented but contrast with the sophistication of the inverted glass. The small glass with what appears to be oil and the green pepper placed on top also add a creative touch, though they could be seen as somewhat discordant elements in the overall composition.
In summary, while the presentation is innovative and visually interesting, it might be helpful to think about how these elements integrate to create a gastronomic experience that is both visually appealing and practical for the diner.

Let’s congratulate you, Sarah for never stop trying no matter how much silverware you have. ✅
I can relate to Sussan’s comments about the presentation (I also think it is inviting, truly new) but… the experience of consuming it is what I wonder the most. I guess all the salad ingredients may fall and if I may ask: how do you include the garnish of this salad?
I love the audacity, though!
