Hi guys, today I practiced making pizza. I decided to use poolish, following Luigi’s Pizza course, one of the courses I revisit from time to time. I liked the result, and next weekend, I’m having guests over and will make pizza for them.
Currently, we’re in the pizza challenge, but this pictures are not for the challenge, because I’m not sure if today’s pizza or next weekend’s will be more beautiful. I’ll show you today’s pizza now, and you can compare it with the one I’ll make next week.
P.S. I made a lovely focaccia with the leftovers.ELISSAVET KANGELARI, Matthew Somich and 3 others-

Looks great! What did you use for toppings? I’ll have to try focaccia with my leftovers! Thanks for planting the seed.

@Michelle Tarby Thanks for your question. I used just homemade tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese, proscutto crudo and San Marzano tomato slices, fresh basil and oregano leaves and a bit of EVO olive oil. 🙂🙂🙂

That’s great, Orsolya! I love that you’re perfecting your technique with the poolish method. Your dedication and passion for making a delicious pizza for your guests really shows.
I’m sure both today’s pizza and the one you’ll make next weekend will be amazing! And what a great idea to use the leftover dough for focaccia, that really shows your creativity in the kitchen.

@Sussan ScoolinaryTeam Thank you, Sussan, there is always something new to learn. Sometimes I think that Scoolinary is an infinit resource of knowledge… I have just watched the Pizza chapter of Sourdough course and now, I want to try to make pizza how it is showed there. 🙂🙂
