Last night I gave my new pizza oven another workout. This was my second time using it. The learning curve is steep! The first time, I had difficulty launching the pizzas smoothly. This time, I used more flour and that was also bad, the flour got burnt at such high temperatures. By the seventh pizza, it was going well, very little flour, no burning. Using the turning peel is still not easy, so I will work on my technique.

I was careful not to overload the pizzas with ingredients, except for the last pizza. I put all of the remaining cheese on top of it, along with pepperoni and a lot of chopped garlic. It was absolutely delicious, a pool of garlicky cheese!

I’m currently taking the Neopolitan Pizza course by Vittorio and Riccardo Figurato here on Scoolinary and it is excellent. Highly recommended.

        Hi Mandie

Thank you for sharing your results, your pizza looks delicious. What do you usually accompany your pizza with, a glass of wine, salad or just pizza?

@Sussan ScoolinaryTeam I usually add fresh rocket (arugula) to my pizza, with a drizzle of olive oil, because my family members don’t like salad. It just goes to waste. And we like red wine with pizza! For a pizza party, I will provide a variety of side dishes, like caprese skewers, “build your own salad” selection, grilled vegetable platter…
