Christmas has been a bit different this year. I’ve been sick for two weeks, so I couldn’t be as active in the kitchen as I usually am during the holiday season.
I didn’t bake the traditional Christmas cake, and even the menu was less creative than usual.
However, I wanted to make as much as I could, so I made this chocolate yule log as the only Christmas cake this year. It was a great success with my family, especially with the roasted nuts in the chocolate layer and the whipped cream with cherries in the middle.
This simple roll filled the house with a warm Christmas vibe, even though I felt weaker and less energetic this year. Happy Holidays, my dear Scoolinary Friends 🎄😘👨🍳

What a lovely gesture, even though you weren’t feeling 100%! That yule log looks spectacular, with the chocolate touch and cherries in the center—it must have been a total hit.
