First and foremost, I would like to thank you for the 🍪 #cookiechallenge 🍪!!!
I watched all the suggested inspiration and explored other cookie-related courses, which led me to discover SablĂ© 😍.
Since making my savory Linzer cubes, I’ve been thinking about ways to use the herbs we collected and dried over the summer—oregano, basil, rosemary… and dried tomatoes.
Yesterday, I watched Elena Adell’s cookie course and was amazed by the idea of savory sablé combined with my herbs and dried tomatoes.
So, as an experiment, I made two versions of sablé:
1. Dried tomatoes and oregano
2. Cayenne pepper
A few months ago, we talked about how red Cayenne pepper darkens when baked but gives an incredible flavor. So, kneading it into the sablĂ© dough, it keeps the color and tastes fantastic. 🤩
The best part of this recipe? No eggs needed! So, my egg-allergic friends will appreciate sablé a lot.
