Yikes, I ran out of time to participate in the #LocalFlavorsChallenge! This is what I had planned to make: New England clam chowder, which is so typical of coastal Maine that there’s a brand named after my home town. It’s made with onions, celery, potatoes, bacon, cream, and clams, and it’s served with oyster crackers (look them up). New England isn’t known for its cuisine but the seafood (especially lobster, crab, scallops and clams) is the best in the world!

Hi @wendyscoolinary-com ☺ You still have a few hours to join. (Until 12 p.m. European time to participate.) Your planned dish sounds absolutely delicious and quintessentially New England. 🙌The combination of onions, celery, potatoes, bacon, cream, and clams sounds like a heavenly mix of flavors. 😋🌋And those oyster crackers – definitely a must-have accompaniment! You’re right about New England’s reputation for seafood; it’s unparalleled!
