Gently baked to a perfect golden hue, these doughnuts combine airy softness with a rich, fruity filling. The delicate, fluffy texture of the dough, enriched with butter and vanilla, beautifully absorbs the aromatic homemade apricot jam, whose natural tartness balances the sweetness.

A final touch of fine powdered sugar adds a subtle crispness and visual elegance. Each bite offers a harmonious contrast—warm, tender dough and juicy filling—creating a refined balance of flavors and textures worthy of a carefully crafted dessert.

Your donuts have a flawless golden color, and the description perfectly conveys the combination of textures and flavors. I love how you highlight the balance between the airy dough and the juicy jam filling. Did you use a recipe from a Scoolinar course? Did you follow any special fermentation or kneading method?

Thanks for sharing it with the community!

@Sussan Estela Olaya Since I’m still new to Scoolinary, I haven’t had a chance to go through many courses. I found this recipe online and I was interested because the donuts are not fried in oil, but baked in the oven. I certainly look forward to a course on this topic here.

We have a wordsmith *and* a doughsmith in the house! 🍩✨ These golden beauties are practically serenading us with flavor poetry. The way you’ve balanced that buttery, fluffy dough with the tangy elegance of homemade apricot jam is pure alchemy. It’s almost unfair how much these doughnuts are raising (pun intended) the bar on refined desserts!

Tell me, how did you manage to get that perfect consistency in the jam—smooth but not runny? Was there a secret ingredient or method to maintain the natural brightness of the apricots? Also… powdered sugar snow? Flawless touch! 👌

@Sol Damiani Cooking has been my passion since childhood, but life steered me toward my second passion a career in marketing. Still, the kitchen remains my sanctuary. It’s where I unwind, create, and stay connected to the joy that first sparked my love for food. Cooking is more than a hobby—it’s a cherished part of who I am. ☺️

Making jam is an art I inherited from my grandmother, a tradition filled with care and love. The perfect jam requires balance: the fruit is cooked just long enough to achieve the ideal texture, but not so long that it loses its freshness. 🍋 Lemon juice, my grandmother’s secret ingredient, preserves the bright color and aids in gelling, while sugar is added at the right moment for smoothness. Controlling the heat and stirring carefully ensure the jam is silky, not too runny. This technique, passed down through generations, connects us to the past, though modern touches can enhance the recipes while preserving their authenticity.

Every jar of jam carries a piece of my grandmother and our story, building a bridge between the past and the future. ❤️

@lanamihajlovic Wow, with just a few words you transported us to those warm afternoons of cooking with grandma—so vivid I could almost smell the sweetness bubbling on the stove! 🍓 Few things in life compare to those small, meaningful pleasures, right? It’s beautiful how food can carry stories and memories across generations.
Do you have a favorite fruit you love to turn into jam, maybe one that holds a special memory from your childhood? 😊

@Sol Damiani I love when flavors take me back to some beautiful moments in the past. Besides apricot jam, one of my favorites is plum jam. When I was kid my grandmother often hid it from me so I wouldn’t eat it all. I could eat plum jam without bread, without anything, sometimes only with a cup of milk. ☺️ Today, apart from the classic plum jam based on grandma’s recipe, I’m making plum jam with chocolate 😁 🍫
