The internet seems to be all about hating this presentation, but I was served this in a swanky bar and I loved it!

My main focus these days is trying to get better at presentation. I especially loved David Rickett’s course. I don’t have too many plates and glasses, so this could be better, but beggars can’t be choosers…

I’m so out of touch, I’ve never seen that presentation 😅 That looks like a platter with a kick, hope you enjoyed it!

        Hi Sarah

This image presents a creative approach to plating, using an inverted wine glass as a container for the salad ingredients. This type of presentation is interesting because it plays with visual expectations and adds a touch of originality to the dish. However, it might be a bit inconvenient for the diner when it comes to consuming the…

Another cake, this time an 18th Birthday cake for one of my students (I’m a high school teacher). Four layers of pink and white sponge, with vanilla buttercream and raspberry jelly between the layers. The marbled chocolate shards were inspired by something I saw on Masterchef Australia.

          Hi Sarah

This is a lovely gesture on your part to do something special for your students.

I think they will have very fond memories of their birthday cakes made by their teacher.

          Thanks for sharing.

          Best regards.

To celebrate Bison Day I made a chocolate Bison head, with two types of buttercream, chocolate sides, banana horns and jelly eyes. Made good use of my piping bag! The first cake I’ve really tried to decorate in any specific way, and I’m really proud of it!
