Well, this evening the fridge was empty, and there was basically nothing at home. I found just three lonely potatoes, which weren’t enough for dinner.
Boom! Why not transform them into GNOCCHI? With one egg and three tablespoons of flour, I made a real Italian dinner. The sauce was made from the last harvest of cherry tomatoes…

¡Bravo! Another try at this Challenge. This happens when someone already has this mindset going on: Every day is a good day not to waste some of the ingredients we have left!👏

Yesterday evening, I wanted to treat my family and made a healthy salmon salad.
I cut the salmon into small cubes and marinated them with salted lemon. Then, I prepared a tangy vinaigrette with lemon and salt for a fresh chard salad, garnished with cucumber spirals. Paired with a glass of rosé, it was the perfect way to celebrate a good day.

What a great combination of fresh and healthy flavors! I loved the marinade you used, and the vinaigrette must have given the salad the perfect touch. I hope your family enjoyed this delicious dish. I also have to say, your photo looks beautiful.

This is my early contribution to the #ZeroWasteChallenge: a pear pie with goat cheese, arugula, honey, and walnuts.
This is a French-inspired recipe I learned last year and regularly prepare for dinner. This time it was special because I used only leftovers: two lonely pears left over from the weekend, a bit of arugula we didn’t eat the day… Seguir leyendoView more comments-

This is exactly why we proposed this challenge, Orsi! As we can see, you already had this mindset subconsciously and didn’t let that preparation go to waste. Congratulations, my friend!😍

A Swiss roll is always a Swiss roll.
I believe we are passionate about the flavors we experienced in childhood. This might be the secret of the Swiss roll.
It is easy to prepare, requires only a few basic ingredients, and is always a great success, just like last weekend when I hosted friends for dinner. I filled this fluffy sponge cake roll with…

How delicious that sounds, Orsolya!
Childhood flavors have that power to transport us to special moments. In my country, we have a similar version of the Swiss roll called “Pionono,” which is basically the same fluffy sponge cake (genoise), filled with dulce de leche, rolled up, and then dusted with powdered sugar or icing sugar. During…

#PizzaSliceChallenge
My friends just left after a fantastic pizza dinner. I took the opportunity to snap some pictures, and my favorite one shows my baker’s hand holding a slice of pizza I made, following Luigi’s Pizza course. I prepared poolish, and the dough turned out perfectly elastic and stretchy. My friends were very satisfied and are…

It’s been almost a year since I joined Scoolinary, and today I’m feeling a bit nostalgic. I remember the very first course I took was a risotto course. I don’t think I ever completed it, as it’s hard to find the right fish where I live, so I couldn’t get all the ingredients. Still, that course taught me so much about risotto, and now…

What a beautiful way to express your passion for risotto! It’s amazing how you manage to give your dishes a unique and personal touch, playing with vibrant and creative colors. I find it admirable that, despite the difficulty of finding some ingredients, you continue to explore and perfect your technique.

Great photos, they all look tasty! Is the first one with clams and beets? I’m interested in what the stock for that was. Beety? Clammy? Both?

Hi guys, today I practiced making pizza. I decided to use poolish, following Luigi’s Pizza course, one of the courses I revisit from time to time. I liked the result, and next weekend, I’m having guests over and will make pizza for them.
Currently, we’re in the pizza challenge, but this pictures are not for the challenge, because I’m not sure… Seguir leyendoView more comments-

Hi guys, last Friday, I prepared fantastic pan fried potatoes and I wanted to share them with you here. I have posted it, but I’m not sure anybody have seen it… To be honest, it was hidden for some hours … now it is public, but so many others uploaded fabulous photos that my potatoes staid in the shade.
Now, I’m here to show you how…

Secondly: I totally missed this photos. Thank you for posting them again.

I fried some potatoes this evening and seasoned them with rosemary in an innovative way. I roasted fresh rosemary and then, just like with basil for pesto, I crushed it in a mortar with sea salt. The result was a very aromatic green rosemary salt that paired perfectly with the potatoes. I also made homemade ketchup in two versions—red and… Seguir leyendo

Hi guys! Here’s my super tasty lemon chicken that I made yesterday evening. Honestly, I used my homemade salted lemon for the sauce, and the only seasoning on the chicken was the salted lemon. If you haven’t tried preparing or using salted lemons, I highly recommend it! I believe it’s a traditional ingredient in Morocco, but it’s also a…

Last weekend, I felt a bit lazy, so I preferred to relax rather than do anything else. In the evening, I decided to cook some corn and prepare a fresh gazpacho with minimal effort in the kitchen. Then, my daughter asked if we could make something sweet. That’s when I came up with my 7-minute Swiss roll!
For the sponge cake, I used 3 eggs, 60g…

Hi Orsolya .
What a great idea! It’s fantastic that you found a quick and delicious way to make a sweet treat. The 7-minute Swiss rolls are a perfect option when you’re looking for something simple and effective. Using just eggs, sugar, and flour shows how basic ingredients can turn into a delightful dessert. The addition of homemade apricot…

Ooh, this unlocked a childhood memory for me. We always used to get the most elegant mini Swiss rolls from Woolworths when I was young. My favourite ones were filled with caramel and whipped cream. They looked very much like yours. Lovely dessert!

The end of summer in Hungary is all about tomatoes and peppers, so yesterday, I prepared Lecsó (letcho) made with onions, tomatoes, and yellow peppers. To give it a beautiful, vivid red color, we use paprika (the sweet kind 🌶).
Do you use paprika? Sweet or spicy?

We’ve got both. Love them.
I’m not allowed to use them whilst cooking. I’m a little heavy handed. 🤣
